Abstract:

As the important actors of Turkish literature in general and Turkish folk poetry in particular, the lovers, who continued their literary creations with different names in almost every period of our literary history, have taken part in the memory of the society by singing poems on almost all subjects, individual or social. In addition to social issues such as war, peace, natural disasters, migrations, and epidemics, individual experiences and emotions are the subjects that the minstrels take place in their poems. Changes and developments in the social and cultural fields under the influence of technological developments in the 21st century have caused some transformations in the literature of minstrels, as in every moment of life, the minstrels have moved away from traditional performance contexts and become visible in new communication environments. As well as being partially trained in the social structure of the minstrelsy tradition, Minstrel Aydın Yeşil from Erzurum is also one of the minstrels who appeared in the new performance environments mentioned in the context of making his works more visible by being aware of today's communication channels. In this context, minstrel, who uses social media effectively, also participates in various concerts, television broadcasts and other organizations. In his works, the minstrel continues to educate himself in the tradition, with about four hundred poems, especially with individual experiences and emotions. In this study, which was prepared based on the interviews held with him in 2020, ,Minstrel Aydın Yeşil, who had not been subject to any academic examination before, was introduced and his life and his understanding of art were evaluated with examples from his poems. Also presented at the end of the article is the poems that the minstrel has allowed to be published.
