Abstract:

Abstract:

The study aims to explore the relationship between the levels of religiousness and death anxiety between people living in the Covid-19 pandemic period in 2020. The study, which used the visual scan model, consisted of a total of 660 people, including 319 women and 341 men. As a data collection tool in the research, Personal Information Form, Religious Orientation Self-Recognition Reserve and Death Anxiety Scale were used. The data obtained was analyzed with the SPSS for Windows 22.0 statistical package program. To analyze data and test hypotheses, the data set has been applied T test, Single Factor Variance Analysis (ANOVA), Pearson Moment Correlation Analysis and Simple Real Regression Analysis. The results of the analysis showed the existence of statistically meaningful relationships between the gender, age and civilization variables of the sample and the religious and death fear variables. The socio-economic level variable has not been found to have any meaningful relationship with religion or death fear variable. The research findings confirmed the basic hypothesis of the study that individuals who suffered the Covid-19 pandemic period "have a negative meaning relationship between religious levels and death fear levels."

Abstract:

The aim of the study is to examine the relationship between religiosity and death anxiety levels of people living in the Covid-19 Pandemic period in 2020. The study sample of the study, in which the descriptive screening model was used, consists of 660 people, of which 319 are women and 341 are men. In the research, personal information form, Religious Orientation Self-Recognition Inventory and Death Anxiety Scale were used as data collection tools. The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS for Windows 22.0 statistical software. To analyze the data and test the hypothesis, t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson Product-Moments Correlation analysis and Simple Linear Regression analysis were applied to the data set. The results of the analysis revealed the existence of statistically significant relationships between the variables of gender, age and marital status status of the sample and the variable of religiousness and death anxiety. It was determined that the variable of socio-economic level did not have a significant relationship with either religiousness or death anxiety. The findings of the study confirmed the basic hypothesis of the study that individuals living in the Covid-19 Pandemic period “have a negative meaningful relationship between religiousness and death anxiety levels”.
