Erzurum’un Pasinler ilçesine bağlı olan ve son yasal düzenlemelerle birlikte mahalle statüsü alan Alvar Köyü, Erzurum’un manevi ikliminin şekillenmesinde 19. ve 20. yüzyıllarda ön plana çıkan Hâce Muhammed Lütfi ile özdeşleşmiştir. 1939 yılına kadar 24 yıl burada imam olarak görev yapan Hâce Muhammed Lütfi, zamanla daha çok Alvarlı Efe olarak anılmaya başlamıştır. İnsanın ve mekânın birlikte zikredildiği bu köyün camisi de Efe Hazretleri ismiyle günümüze kadar varlığını koruyabilmiştir. 19. yüzyılda inşa edilen, 1912 yılında onarılan ve bitişiğindeki medrese ile küçük bir külliye görünümü alan bu cami, ahşap direkli ve tavanlı camilerin temsilcilerindendir. Planda görülen ve erken dönemlerden itibaren izlenebilen geleneğin devamına karşılık mihrap ve minarenin şerefe altındaki sade süsleme öğeleri dışında oldukça sade bir mimariye sahip olan cami, monografik bir tanıtımın ötesinde Erzurum ve çevresinde ortaya koymaya çalıştığımız ahşap direkli ve tavanlı cami mimari geleneğinin geç dönem temsilcilerinden birisi olarak bu çalışmada incelenmiştir.

Abstract:

Abstract Alvar located in Palinler, Erzurum obtain a right to be a district by the recent legislative regulations. Alvar Village is famous for the person called Hace Muhammad Lutfi who played a significant role in the formation of the spiritual atmosphere of Erzurum during the 19th and 20th centuries. Hâce Muhammad Lutfi rather known as Alvarlı Efe worked for 24 years as an imam in this district until the year of 1939. The mosque of this district called the Efe Priests provided the aforementioned of human-place togetherness hasined its existence until today. This mosque was built in the 19th century. It was restored in 1912. It became almost an Islamic-Ottoman social complex. The mosque is an example of wooden roofed mosques with wooden posts. The mosque has a very basic architecture except for the simple ornaments on the mihrab and minaret although it is possible to trace the tradition since the early periods as it is shown in the plan. Besides the monographic introduction of the mosque, this article analyzes it by considering the fact that the mosque is a distinguished example of late-period wooden roofed mosques with wooden posts in Erzurum and its surrounding.
