The status of Black Sea Russia merchants has been for the first time stated by the Belgrad agreement of September, 03, 1739 between Ottoman State and Russuia. Under the rules of the agreement, Russian merchants used the ships belonged to Ottoman residents of moslem and non-moslem people, known as Ottoman people ships. Russia has continued its trade with Ottoman State guiding the rules of the agreement until the Trade Agreement of 1782 allowing to use Russia ships together with Ottoman people ships in the trade, which contributed to increase the import from Russia in an enormous quantity
