Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul öncesi öğretmen adaylarının fene ve fen öğretimine yönelik tutumlarını sınıf seviyesi ve cinsiyet değişkenlerine göre incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, Giresun Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Okul Öncesi Öğretmenliği Bölümünde 1, 2, 3 ve 4. sınıflarda öğrenim gören 130 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak “Fen Bilgisi Tutum Ölçeği ve Fen Öğretimine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Betimsel tarama yöntemine dayalı olarak yürütülen araştırmada veriler enlemsel araştırma deseninde elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler SPSS’de Pearson Korelasyon analizi, tek yönlü varyans analizi ve bağımsız t testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Öğretmen adaylarının sınıf seviyeleri ile fene ve fen öğretimine yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının cinsiyetiyle fene yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmazken, fen öğretimine yönelik tutumları arasında bayan öğretmen adayları lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur.
The purpose of this study was to investigate that Prospective Kindergarten Teachers’ (PKT) science and science teaching attitudes according to class levels and gender variables. The sample of this study consisted of 130 PKTs who study freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors at the Department of Kindergarten Teacher Education, in the Education Faculty, the Giresun University. As the data collection tool, Science and Science Teaching Attitude Scales were used in this study. In the research based on descriptive survey method, data were collected to cross-sectional research design. Collected data were analyzed using Pearson Correlation analysis, one-way ANOVA and independent t-test in the SPSS 16.00 program. A significant difference was not found between PKTs’ class levels both their science and science teaching attitudes. Although a significant difference was not found between PKTs’ gender and science attitudes, a significant difference in favor of female PKTs was found between PKTs’ gender and science teaching attitudes.
