Abstract:

The aim of this study is to thoroughly examine the teachers’ opinions about how their occupational extinction they have experienced reflects the school climate. Teachers, which are the core structures of education, are one of the most observed groups of professional exhaust. There are many reasons for teachers to experience professional exhaust, and the reflection of this situation in the school climate is a topic that needs to be focused on and studied from the educational point of view. In the context of the study, "How is the concept of professional extinction defined?"What are the factors that cause teachers to experience professional exhaustion?" And "What can be done to prevent teachers from reflecting professional exhaust in the school climate?" Answers to their questions were asked. The research method is preferred in this study. The research group consists of 10 teachers who work in different cities and schools. The research data was obtained through a semi-configured conversation method. The analysis of the data is done through visual analysis. When the data is analyzed, teachers have explained the concept of professional exhaust with the most of the concepts of losing the first day excitement in the profession and tired of the profession. Teachers have expressed their views in the form of work environment, excess work burden, financial disadvantages, colleagues, school management, disappointments, student profile, the environment in which the school is located, social pressure and communication problems. Participating teachers have been found to have the following recommendations mostly in the field of prevention of the reflection of professional exhaust in the school climate: school administration should be understandable, workload should be reduced, financial problems should be solved, communication problems should be solved. The findings have concluded that necessary measures should be taken to prevent teachers from reflecting their occupational extinction in the school climate.
