Abstract:

In the simplest way, religion is the link between man and God, and religion is the reflection of this link in the individual and social life. Although religion does not change in the direction of belonging to the divine resource, religion as a subjective experience experienced by the individual can manifest itself in various forms depending on many factors. In fact, many conceptualizations have been made about the changes that have occurred in religion along with modernism. In this study, modern religious conceptualizations are subject to institutional and subjective religious study. The purpose of the research is to identify the perspective of the university youth on the corporate and subjective religious and the factors that influence this perspective. The data collection and analysis processes of the research are structured in the quality model. Half-configured interviews are used in data collection and content analysis techniques are used in data analysis. The interviews were held between January 17th and March 1. The research work group consists of 30 university students aged 19-25 who studied in 21 different departments of Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University in the 2019-2020 educational year. The semi-structured interview form used in the research was developed by researchers based on literature. Before the research, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University was approved by the Human Research Ethics Board. Maximum diversity sampling was used in the determination of participants and conversations were conducted with volunteers. The results of the study show that young people have a strong tendency to define themselves with subjective religious understanding, and that this tendency in the formation of the religious institution and the image of the religious officer and the university environment can be regarded as an effective factor.
