Abstract:

In this study, it is aimed to examine the economic concerns of Fine Arts Education candidate teachers. The study group of the research consists of 113 pre-service teachers studying at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Education, Department of Art Education and Department of Music Education in 2022-2023 academic year. The data of the study were collected by face-to-face interview method with an interview form consisting of 5 questions. The data were analyzed according to the quantitative research method. Frequency analysis was used to calculate the percentage distribution of the responses of the candidate teachers to the questions. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that 93,8% of the Fine Arts Education candidate teachers preferred the department they were studying willingly, while 24% of them wanted to transfer to another department. It was seen that 86,7% of the candidate teachers think that art education is a requirement and 69% of them prefer having cash to having an artwork. It was also concluded that 46,9% of the candidate teachers preferred to have money and deal with art and education.
