Çocuk emeği kullanımının azaltılmasına ilişkin tüm çabalara rağmen son yirmi yılda yaşanan gelişmeler istenilen düzeye ulaşılamadığını göstermektedir. Sokakta çalışan çocuklar çocuk emeğinin en önemli alt kümelerinden biridir. Doğası gereği çocuk emeğinin en kötü biçimlerinden biri olma eğiliminde olan sokakta çalışma, çocukları birçok risk ve tehlikeye açık hale getirmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı çocukları sokaklarda çalışmaya iten faktörleri belirlemek, hangi biçimlerle ve hangi koşullarda çalıştıkları/çalıştırıldıklarını incelenmektir. Çalışmanın bir başka amacı ise sokakta çalışan çocukların maruz kalabilecekleri tehlikeleri ve riskleri değerlendirmek, onları sokaktan çekmek-uzaklaştırmak için alınabilecek önlemlerin ve geliştirilebilecek politikaların neler olabileceğini tespit etmektir. Çalışmada betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda çalışmadan elde edilen temel sonuç çocukları sokaklarda çalışmaya yönelten en önemli unsurun ekonomik faktör olduğudur. Bunun yanında toplumun geleceğini oluşturan çocukların bu yaşlarda çalışması/çalıştırılmasının onların eğitsel, ruhsal ve bedensel gelişimlerini olumsuz yönde etkilenmesinin de kaçınılmaz olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
Despite all efforts to reduce the use of child labour, the developments in the past twenty years show that the desired level has not been achieved. The children working on the street are one of the most important subgroups of child labour. Working on the street, which is naturally a tendency to be one of the worst forms of child labour, makes children exposed to many risks and dangers. The aim of the study is to identify the factors that drive children to work in the streets, to study in what form and under what conditions they work/work. Another purpose of the study is to evaluate the risks and risks that children who work on the street may be exposed, to identify the measures that can be taken to remove them from the street, and to identify the policies that can be developed. In the study, the method of analysis was used. In this context, the main result from work is that the most important element that directs children to work on the streets is the economic factor. In addition, it has been found that the work/working of the children that form the future of society in these ages is inevitable to negatively affect their educational, mental and physical development.
