Abstract:

In this study, similarities and differences were tried to be revealed by comparing the entrance conditions, teaching processes, school experience and teaching practices of the institutions that educate class teachers within the course of the classes in the Netherlands, Romania and Turkey, and the conditions of completion of the courses and programs taken throughout the programme and the ability to be a teacher, and the aim was to reveal the skills and deficiencies in the class teachers training system in Turkey. This study used a horizontal approach, which is one of the four approaches used in comparative education research. Based on the comparison, the conclusion was that the teaching systems of the countries each are structured according to their own culture, social, political and economic conditions, although they are influenced by each other, the educational processes show different characteristics, the requirements of admission to the university in the framework of the teaching, the education they receive, the program content, the teaching processes, the conditions of graduation differ from country to country. In light of this information, recommendations on the class teacher training system in Turkey have been presented.
