Sosyal Bilgiler Ders Kitaplarında Afet Bilinci ve Eğitimi

Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, yenilenen sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarının afet bilinci ve eğitimi açısından incelenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında kullanılmakta olan 4, 5, 6 ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında yer alan metin ifadeleri ve kullanılan görseller afet bilinci ve afet eğitimi açsından incelenmiştir. Araştırmada nitel yaklaşımlardan biri olan doküman inceleme deseni kullanılmıştır. Dokümanlardan elde edilen veriler ise içerik analizine tabi tutularak yorumlanmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre, ders kitaplarında afetlerle ilgili çeşitli görsellere ve metinsel ifadelere yer verildiği, kullanılan bu görsel ve metinsel ifadelerle bireylerde bir afet bilinci ve farkındalığının oluşturulmak istendiği gözlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte ders kitaplarında afetlerle ilişkili kullanılan metin ve görseller 4, 5 ve 6. sınıf düzeyinde çoğunlukla insanlar, yerler ve çevreler öğrenme alanında yer alırken, 7. sınıfta küresel bağlantılar öğrenme alanında yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca ders kitaplarında genellikle ülkemizde ve dünyada sıklıkla görülen afet türlerine yer verilirken, bu afet türleri içerisinde depreme daha fazla vurgu yapıldığı görülmüştür.

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study updated social information curricula in terms of catastrophic consciousness and education. For this purpose, the 4, 5, 6 and 7 classes of social information used in the 2018-2019 educational year, the text expressions and images used in the curriculum books have been studied from the perspective of catastrophic awareness and catastrophic education. The document examination scheme, which is one of the qualitative approaches, was used in the research. The data obtained from the documents are subject to content analysis. According to the findings obtained from the study, the lesson books contain various images and text expressions related to disasters, and these visual and text expressions used were observed that a disasters awareness and awareness was intended to be created in individuals. However, the texts and images used in the curricula related to catastrophes have been found that people, places and environments are mainly in the learning field at the level 4, 5 and 6 and that the global connections are in the learning field at the level 7. Also, in the lesson books are often listed the types of disasters that are frequently seen in our country and in the world, while these types of disasters have seen more emphasis on earthquakes.
