Öğrenciler ve Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenlerinin Programdaki Becerilere İlişkin Beceri Hiyerarşileri, Gerekçeleri ve Önerileri

Her öğrencinin ve öğretmenin önemsediği farklı beceriler vardır. Bu araştırmada diğer çalışmalardan farklı olarak 8.sınıf öğrencileri ile sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin sosyal bilgiler programında var olan 27 beceri içinden ilk 5 beceri tercihini sıralamaları, bu becerileri niçin seçtikleri istenmiş olup bu becerilerin öğretim yöntemine ilişkin önerilerde bulunmalarını istenmiştir. Bu noktada öğretmenlerin ve öğrencilerin sahip oldukları beceri dünyasının profilini çıkarabilmek için onların beceri hiyerarşilerini bilmemiz önem arz etmektedir. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubunu, 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında uygun örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen ve gönüllük esasına dayalı olarak Sivas ilinde görev yapan Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenlerinden 39 kişi ve ortaokul 8. Sınıf öğrencilerinden 131 kişi örneklemi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada kullanılan yapılandırılmış görüşme formu açık uçlu 3 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi türlerinden tümevarımcı analiz kullanılmıştır.Sonuç olarak toplamda ilk beş sıralamada en çok yer alan becerilere bakıldığında öğrenciler ile öğretmenlerin ilk beşte sıraladıkları becerilerin üçü olan iletişim, empati ve problem çözme becerileri aynıdır. Çocukların Sosyal bilgiler programında var olan becerileri kimden kazanmaları gerektiği konusunda hem çocuklar hem de öğretmen ilk beş beceri için de aileden ve öğretmenden kazanılması gerektiği yönündeki fikirlerine ek olarak öğrenciler çevre, arkadaş ve Atatürk’ten öğretmenler ise eğitim uzmanından kazanılması gerektiğini ifade etmişlerdir

Each student and teacher has different skills. In this study, unlike other studies, students of 8th grade and social information teachers were asked to rank the first 5 skills preferences of the 27 skills in the social information program, why they chose these skills, and they were asked to make recommendations on the method of teaching of these skills. At this point, it is important that teachers and students know their skill hierarchies in order to draw the profile of the skill world they have. In this study, research methods have been used. The work group is determined by the appropriate sampling method in the 2017-2018 educational year and is based on the voluntary essence of 39 people from the Social Information Teachers who work in the province of Sivas and the secondary school 8. There are 131 students in the class. The structured interview form used in the study consists of 3 open end questions. In the analysis of the data obtained within the framework of the research, a derivative analysis of the types of content analysis has been used.As a result, the skills of communication, empathy and problem-solving skills, which are three of the skills that students and teachers rank in the first five rankings, are the same as those of the first five rankings. In addition to the ideas that children and teachers should acquire the skills that exist in the Social Information Program on who they should acquire, both children and teachers should acquire the first five skills from the family and teachers, students from the environment, friends and teachers from Atatürk and teachers from the educational specialist.

Abstract:

There are different skills that each student and teacher cares about.In this study, it is desired that the 8th grade students and social studies teachers list the first 5 skill choices among the 27 skills that exist in the social studies program and why they choose these skills. At this point it is important to know their skill hierarchies so that teachers and students have a profound world of skills.In addition, this study will determine what skills are most important to the participants and which skills are most important among the skills in the social studies curriculum.In this study, the case study of qualitative research methods was used.The study group is composed of 30 people from Social Studies Teachers and 117 students from 8th grade students who are working in Sivas province based on the voluntary basis determined by appropriate sampling method in the academic year of 2017-2018. In the analysis of the data obtained within the research, inductive analysis was used from the types of content analysis.As a result; three of the skills that students and teachers rank in the first five communication skills, empathy and problem solving skills are the same. The children to acquire the skills that exist in the social studies program both children and teachers stated that for the first five skills, both parents and teachers should be recruited. In addition to these ideas, the students stated that the environment, friends and teachers from Ataturk should be acquired from the education specialist.
