Abstract:

This study was carried out in order to identify the difficulties faced by social services professionals working in the field of children who need protection in the process of transferring their professional roles to the field. The sample group of the study consists of 31 social services specialists working in the children's field that need protection in 13 provinces (Adana, Ankara, Artvin, Çankırı, Diyarbakır, Erzincan, Istanbul, İzmir, Malatya, Manisa, Samsun, Yalova and Yozgat) from 7 regions of Turkey. Qualitative methods have been used in the research. In the collection of data, deep interviews, participatory observations and methods of document review were preferred. The findings were submitted with the titles "The impact of the professional roles of the corporate/institutional environment on the application, laws and regulations, cultural differences, security issues and supervision." The research finds that social services professionals are not able to transfer their professional roles to the field enough. There are a number of recommendations to support experts to transfer their professional roles to field.
