Abstract:

Remote learning is a concept that is widespread along with the Internet technology. Remote learning practices are preferred when face-to-face education is difficult or limited. With the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic in Turkey, the distance learning process has begun systematically. In particular, the use of the Education Information Network (EBA) platform has gained a very important place in the process of distance learning. In this framework, the research is aimed at determining the opinions of classmates about the distance learning process. In the context of these opinions, it is very important to find out the problems the primary school students experience. In this study, the method of research is based on the method of study. The research group consists of 38 class teachers. The data is collected through the survey form consisting of structured questions. Content analysis was used in the analysis of the data collected in the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. The opinions of classmates on the distance learning process are gathered under three titles: ‘The challenges of the distance learning process’, ‘The benefits of the distance learning process’ and ‘Rekommendations on the distance learning process’. The conclusion is that students have a problem with access to the internet, the guardians are unexperient and therefore do not get support, the participation is not at the desired level. However, the research has shown that the students are able to repeat them regularly.
