Abstract:

In the past, the Turks spread over enormous lands in history and interacted with many languages in the places they visited; as a result, they exchanged words significantly. One of these languages is Mongolian. The Turks have been in contact with the Mongols for centuries in terms of geographic, political, and cultural factors, and this has led to the formation of many similarities and common vocabulary that reflect their language of communication. The common elements in the two languages are parallel in many ways, such as kinship names, organ names, natural phenomena, animal names, belief and culture similarities, color names, food names, verbs. There is a different situation for each Turkish dialect in the interaction of Mongolian and Turkish. Kyrgyz is one of the dialects with the most common parallelism by living with Mongolians, and this similarity is essential for both history and Turcology studies in determining the scale of the Kyrgyz-Mongolian relationship. Common vocabulary in Mongolian and Kyrgyz is commonly regarded as "Mongolian elements" in Kyrgyz grammar; even some Turkish words are attributed to Mongolian. However, there are still many common elements in terms of meaning and structure, making it difficult to determine the language from which words have moved to another. In this study, some common adjectives found in Kyrgyz and Mongolian languages, an essential part of the vocabulary, are assessed in terms of sound, meaning, and use. At the same time, Mongolian-Kyrgyz relations, common vocabulary, and examples are included.
