Bu çalışmada öğretmen adaylarının "sınıf", "sınıfta öğretmen" ve "sınıfta öğrenci" kavramlarına yönelik algılarının metaforlar aracılığıyla belirlenmesi ve karşılaştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılı güz döneminde, Doğu Anadolu Bölgesindeki bir büyükşehirde yer alan bir üniversitenin eğitim fakültesinde öğrenim gören farklı bilim dallarından 259 öğretmen adayının katılımıyla yapılmıştır. Katılımcıların belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda 3. ve 4. sınıfta öğrenim gören öğrencilerle çalışma yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın verileri “sınıf ...... gibidir, çünkü ............” "sınıfta öğretmen ...... gibidir, çünkü ............" ve “sınıfta öğrenci ...... gibidir, çünkü ............” ifadelerini içeren bir form aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Yapılan içerik analizi sonucunda öğretmen adaylarının birinci kavrama yönelik belirledikleri metaforlarla ilgili temalar sevgi şefkat yuvası olarak sınıf, üretim yeri olarak sınıf, bilgi ortamı olarak sınıf, farklılıkları barındıran ortam olarak sınıf ikinci kavrama yönelik belirledikleri metaforlarla ilgili temalar aile bireyi olarak öğretmen, şekillendiren öğretmen, öncü öğretmen ve üreten öğretmen son kavrama yönelik belirledikleri metaforlarla ilgili temalar ise üreten/gelişen bir varlık olarak öğrenci, öğrenen bir varlık olarak öğrenci, aile bireyi olarak öğrenci, şekillenebilen bir varlık olarak öğrenci, korunmaya ihtiyacı olan bir varlık olarak öğrenci, farklılıkları barındıran bir varlık olarak öğrenci şeklinde belirlenmiştir.
This study aims to identify and compare the perceptions of the teacher candidates to the concepts of "class", "learning in class" and "student in class" through metaphors. The study was conducted in the good period of the 2017-2018 educational year, with the participation of 259 teachers from different disciplines studying at the educational faculty of an university located in the eastern Anadolu region. The measurement method of sampling has been used for the determination of participants. The study was conducted with students in 3rd and 4th classes.
