Abstract:

The aim of the study is to try to determine the impact of organizational communication on organizational silence. The sample of the research is made by employees who work in the Kırıkkale Organized Industrial Area in 2019 and who agree to participate in the research (sample diameter n=507). It is used as a method of data collection. The survey form includes the organizational communication scale, the organizational silence scale and the demographic characteristics sections. Multi-variable regression analysis has been used to determine the impact of organizational communication on organizational silence. In the variable reduction, the detective factor analysis was used. According to the findings obtained in the study, organizational communication has a significant impact on organizational silence. The detection factor analysis has determined that vertical-secure communication, horizontal-popular communication, confidence-satisfaction communication, horizontal-precision communication factors have a meaningful impact on acceptance-protection silence. Communication of accuracy, communication of confidence and satisfaction, accuracy of the channels used in communication and confidence and population communication factors have a significant impact on silence for the purpose of protection. The study has some limitations. In the framework of the study, a number of recommendations have been given to organizations and organizational staff to researchers who will work in the future on both organizational communication and organizational silence.
