It is known that, in order to facilitate the life, the human being has shaped and added functionality to the surrounding materials by the use of a variety of tools. Pouches are a group of accordingly produced works. Although they are hardly ever produced today, the pouches which were made in order to carry small objects or foodstuff and to avoid missing of such objects are possible to be detected in museums. This study discusses the handwork pouches from Beşkonaklar Ethnographical Museum and Traditional Malatya House. As well as there are limited publishing regarding pouches from museums in Turkey, it is detected that a study consisting the examples from Beşkonaklar Ethnographical Museum and Traditional Malatya house is lacking.
