This study examined the relationship between economic growth and financial development. The study was carried out with data from the period 1970-2015. In addition to financial development, the work has been analyzed with commercial transparency and alternative and nuclear energy consumption variables included. The experimental analysis of the study was done with the Granger causality tests based on the Johansen co-integration and error correction model. The analysis found a combination between the variables. After the integration, the error correction model has been investigated whether it works or not. Finally, the error correction rate was found negative and statistically meaningful. According to the Granger Causability Test, the two-way causality relationship between economic growth and financial development existed, while the one-way causality relationship from financial development to commercial clarity was found. Between energy consumption and economic growth, there is a reflection hypothesis that means that there is no causal relationship in the sense of granger. There has been no reasonable discovery between commercial transparency and economic growth.
