Abstract:

In this study, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu and Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu examined the bilateral relations between Turkey and Iran during the period. The time of Ahmet Davutoglu has been studied as a reflection of zero problem with neighbors and active diplomacy in the relations with Iran and the different attitude of Iran in the Arab Spring. The separate policies of Iran and Turkey on the situation in Syria during the Arab Spring have affected the relations of the two countries. The factors affecting the Turkish-Iran bilateral relations have been not only the crises in the region, but also the non-regional actors. The U.S. economic sanctions and the desire to continue its existence in the Middle East region, the membership of Turkey in the NATO, the active role of the Russian Federation again in the Middle East have been the main factors affecting the Turkish-Iran relations. In the study, the Turkish-Iran relations were broken from the point of view of Davutoglu and Çavuşoğlu.
