Abstract:

This study aims to explore the effects of word presentation videos taken by high school students on their word learning achievements and material motivations. The study was carried out in the semi-experimental draft and the research group was formed by a total of 60 students who studied at an Anadolu High School in the 2017-2018 educational year. The experimental process lasted 8 weeks.  As data collection tools, the word test developed by researchers and open-end questions form developed by other researchers have been used in the Teaching Materials Motivation Scale. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the performance of the experiment and the control group in word learning in the benefit of the experiment group, but there was no significant difference in the motivation to use the material. The experiment group also positive opinions about the use of mobile-supported video.
