Kültür, kuşaktan kuşağa aktarılarak yaşatılmakta, kültürel kodlar aracılığıyla nesilden nesile iletilmekte ve bu kodlar arasında çocuk oyunları da önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Oyunlarında, içinde yaşadıkları toplumun sosyal-kültürel unsurlarını yansıtan çocuklar, bu sayede hem sosyal ilişkilerinin kuvvetlenmesine hem de kültürel sürekliliğin devamına katkıda bulunurlar. Ancak yaşam koşullarının hızla değiştiği günümüzde, yaşanılan şartlara bağlı olarak geleneksel kültürler gibi bu kültürlere özgü oyunlar da yavaş yavaş unutulmaya başlamış, yerlerini bilgisayara ve internete bağlı oyunlara bırakmıştır. Bu durum Laz kültüründe de benzerlik göstermektedir. Horonları, tulumları, fıkraları aklımıza ilk gelen kültürel motifleri olsa da oynanış biçimleriyle, kullanılan malzemeleriyle, sosyal katılımın çeşitliliğiyle, dilsel farklılıklarıyla Laz kültürüne özgü dikkat çeken çocuk oyunları da bulunmaktadır. Konuyla ilgili yazılı kaynakların azlığı da dikkate alınarak planlanan bu çalışmada amaç, etnik kimliğe odaklanmadan Lazlar arasında farklı oynanış şekillerini barındıran oyunlar ile sadece Laz kültürüne özgü çocuk oyunlarından birkaçının içeriklerini, oynanış şekillerini, oyunlarda kullanılan oyuncakları/araç-gereçleri örneklerle detaylandırmaktır. Bu amaçla çalışmada nitel veri toplama yöntemlerinden görüşme tekniği kullanılmış ve sohbet tarzı görüşme yaklaşımıyla kültüre özgü örnek çocuk oyunlarına ulaşılmıştır. Gönüllü beş katılımcı ile gerçekleştirilen görüşmeler esnasında ses kayıtları alınmış ve elde edilen bilgiler daha sonra yazılı metin haline getirilmiştir.
Culture is transmitted from generation to generation, and through cultural codes it is transmitted from generation to generation, and among these codes children’s games also hold an important place. In their games, children that reflect the socio-cultural elements of the society in which they live, thus contribute both to the strengthening of their social relations and to the continuation of cultural continuity. But today, when the living conditions are changing rapidly, games that are characteristic of these cultures as traditional cultures, depending on the conditions experienced, have gradually started to be forgotten, leaving their places for computers and internet-connected games. This is similar in the culture. Though the horons, towers, jokes are the first cultural motives that come to our mind, there are also children's games that draw special attention to the Laz culture with their forms of play, their materials used, the diversity of social participation, their linguistic differences. The aim of this study, which is planned to take into account the lack of written resources on the subject, is to detail the contents, the forms of play, the toys and the tools used in the games with examples of games that contain different forms of play between the Lazers and only a few of the children's games characterized by the Laz culture. For this purpose, the study used the conversation technique from the methods of quality data collection and the conversation style approach was achieved to the culture-specific example of children's games. During the conversations with five volunteers, the audio recordings were taken and the information obtained was later converted into written text.
Culture is transmitted through generations via cultural codes. Children's games play an essential role in these cultural codes. Children reflect the social-cultural elements of society and contribute to the social relations and cultural continuity in this way. However, in today's rapidly changing world and culture-specific games have left their places to computer and internet games, which is what has happened in the Laz culture as well. Although the Laz culture reminds us of cultural motifs such as horon (the folk dance of the black sea region), bagpipes and jokes first, it also has children's games with different styles, materials, diversity of social participation, and linguistic differences. The aim of this study, considering the scarcity of written resources on the subject, is to examine the content, gameplay, toys/equipment used in the games, which contain different forms of gameplay among Laz people, without focusing on ethnic identity. For this purpose, the interview technique, a qualitative data collection method, was used in the study. During the interviews with five volunteers, voice recordings were taken, which were later transcribed into written text.
