Örgütsel Dedikodunun İş Stresi Üzerindeki Etkisinin İncelenmesi Üzerine Bir Araştırma

Abstract:

Örgütsel dedikodu çalışanların yöneticileri, çalışma arkadaşları veya iş ortamındaki herhangi bir kişi ile ilgili yapılan konuşma olarak ifade edilmektedir. Örgüt içerisinde yapılan dedikodu hem çalışanları hem de yöneticileri negatif yönde etkileyebilmektedir. Bu araştırmada örgütsel dedikodunun iş stresi üzerindeki etkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi Kahramanmaraş ilinde faaliyetlerini sürdüren iki iplik fabrikasının 182 çalışanından oluşmaktadır. Veriler 23 Mart 2019-19 Nisan 2019 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler güvenirlik analizi, açımlayıcı faktör analizi, t testi, ANOVA, korelasyon ve basit doğrusal regresyon analizi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Sonuçlar örgütsel dedikodu ve alt boyutlarının (işle ilgili olan dedikodu, işle ilgili olmayan dedikodu) iş stresi değişkeni ile aralarında pozitif yönlü anlamlı ilişki olduğunu göstermektedir. Örgütsel dedikodunun ve alt boyutlarının iş stresi üzerinde pozitif yönlü etkisi olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ek olarak örgütsel dedikodunun cinsiyet, işyerindeki pozisyon, eğitim, firmadaki çalışma süresine göre farklılaşması incelenmiştir. Analizler sonucunda tek boyutlu örgütsel dedikodu ve işle ilgili olmayan dedikodu alt boyutunda cinsiyet açısından farklılaşma olmadığı, işle ilgili olan dedikodu alt boyutunda ise anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu görülmüştür.

Abstract:

The organizational rumor is expressed as the speech of employees concerning managers, colleagues or any person in the business environment. The rumors within the organization can affect both employees and managers in a negative direction. This study is aimed at studying the impact of organizational rumors on work stress. The study consists of 182 employees from two wire factories that continue to operate in Kahramanmaraş. The data was collected between March 23, 2019 and April 19, 2019. The data collected was studied using reliability analysis, detection factor analysis, t test, ANOVA, correlation and simple linear regression analysis. The results show that organizational rumors and subdimensions (work-related rumors, non-work-related rumors) have a positive meaningful relationship with the work stress variable. It shows that the organizational rumors and their subdimensions have a positive impact on work stress. In addition, the organizational rumor has been studied by gender, job position, education, time of work in the company. The results of the analysis have shown that the one-dimensional organizational rumor and non-work-related rumor are not differentiated in terms of gender in the lower dimension, and that the work-related rumor is a significant difference in the lower dimension.

Organizational gossip; It is expressed as a speech about the managers of the employees, their colleagues or any person in the workplace. Gossip made within the organization can affect both employees and managers negatively. In this study, it was aimed to examine the effect of organizational gossip on job stress. The sample of the research consists of 182 employees of two yarn factories operating in Kahramanmaraş. The data were collected between March 23, 2019 and April 19, 2019. The collected data were analyzed using reliability analysis, exploratory factor analysis, t test, ANOVA, correlation and simple linear regression analysis. The results show that the sub-dimensions of organizational gossip (work-related gossip, non-work-related gossip) are positively related to the job stress variable. It reveals that organizational gossip and its sub-dimensions have a positive effect on job stress. In addition to organizational gossip; differentiation of gender, position in the workplace, education, working time at the firm was examined. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that there was no gender difference in the non-work-related gossip sub-dimension of organizational gossip, and there was a significant difference in the work-related gossip sub-dimension.
