Kurumsal yapı içerisinde mülkiyet hakları, refahı olumlu yönde etkileyebilen bir kavram olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Korunaklı mülkiyet hakları bireylerin ekonomik özgürlüklerini desteklemekte ve bireysel yatırımların, teşebbüslerin önünü açmaktadır. Çalışmada Avrupa Birliği ülkelerinde 2007-2014 yılları arasını kapsayan veriler kullanılarak dengeli panel veri analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda mülkiyet hakları göstergesi olarak Property Rights Alliance tarafından yayınlanan Uluslararası Mülkiyet Hakları göstergesi kullanılmıştır. Refah göstergesi ve bağımlı değişken olarak ise Legatum Institute tarafından yayınlanan Refah Endeksi ele alınmıştır. Çalışmaya kontrol değişkenleri olarak ticari açıklık oranı, kamu eğitim harcamalarının GSYİH içindeki payı, işsizlik oranı ve enflasyon oranı eklenmiştir. Çalışmada Avrupa Birliği ülkelerinde mülkiyet haklarının refah üzerindeki etkisinin araştırılması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda gerçekleştirilen panel veri analizi sonrasında Avrupa Birliği ülkelerinde mülkiyet haklarının korunaklılığının gelişmesinin bu ülkelerde refah seviyesini olumlu yönde etkilediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
In the corporate structure, property rights are defined as a concept that can influence well-being in a positive direction. Protected property rights support the economic freedoms of individuals and open the front of individual investments and efforts. The study conducted a balanced panel data analysis using data covering the 2007-2014 years in the European Union countries. The International Property Rights Index was published by the Property Rights Alliance as an indicator of property rights. As a well-being indicator and dependent variable, the well-being index was discussed by Legatum Institute. The work control variables include the rate of commercial transparency, the share of public education spending in GDP, the rate of unemployment and the rate of inflation. The study aims to investigate the impact of property rights on the welfare in the European Union countries. Following the panel data analysis carried out in accordance with this objective, it was concluded that the development of the protection of property rights in the EU countries has a positive impact on the level of well-being in these countries.
In the institutional structure, property rights are considered as a concept that can positively affect welfare. Protected property rights allow individuals to act economically freely and pave the way for undertakings. The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of property rights on welfare in European Union countries. In line with this aim, balanced panel data analysis was carried out in European Union countries by using data covering the years 2007-2014. International Property Rights Index published by the Property Rights Alliance was used as an indicator of property rights. The Welfare Index was published by the Legatum Institute as a welfare indicator. In the study, it was concluded that the developments in the protection of property rights in the European Union countries have a positive effect on the welfare level in these countries.
