Kişiliğin karanlık, istenmeyen ve itici tarafını yansıtan özelliklerin belirlenmesine yönelik artan ilgiyle beraber “karalık üçlü” popüler bir araştırma alanı haline gelmiştir. Bu özellikleri değerlendirmek için yapıları hem bağımsız hem de bileşik şekilde ölçen çeşitli ölçme araçları geliştirilmiştir. Bu ölçeklerden bazılarının Türkçe çeviri ve uyarlama çalışmaları yapılmasına karşın alan yazında Türkçe geliştirilmiş bir karanlık üçlü ölçeği bulunmamaktadır. Ayrıca özellikle Türkçe alan yazında karanlık üçlünün daha çok endüstri ve örgütsel psikoloji alanında yapılan çalışmalar bağlamında ele alındığı, klinik olgularla karanlık üçlü arasındaki ilişkilerin incelendiği çalışmaların sınırlı olduğu görülmektedir. Bütün bu belirtilenler doğrultusunda, Türkçe karanlık üçlü ölçeği geliştirmek, ölçeğin psikometrik özelliklerini test etmek ve karanlık üçlünün klinik olgularla ilişkilerini incelemek amacıyla iki aşamalı bir çalışma tasarımı planlanmıştır. İlk aşamayı oluşturan bu çalışmada, karanlık üçlü ölçeğinin geliştirilmesi amacıyla madde seçimi, faktör yapısının belirlenmesi ve seçilen maddelerin psikometrik özelliklerinin incelenmesi işlemleri yürütülmüştür. Bu çalışma iki uygulama şeklinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Öncelikle 221 maddeden oluşan bir havuz oluşturulmuş ve madde havuzunun uygunluğunun değerlendirilmesi için 10 uzmandan oluşan bir grupla ilk uygulama gerçekleştirilmiştir. Uygulama sonucunda madde havuzu 220 ifadeyi içerecek şekilde yeniden düzenlenmiştir. İkinci uygulamada ise yaşları 17-56 arasında değişen 529 kişiye 220 madde uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi, madde analizi ve faktör analizi yöntemlerinin tekrarlayan şekilde kullanılmasıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda 55 madde seçilmiş ve "Karanlık Üçlü (K3) Ölçeği" olarak isimlendirilen maddelerin, üç faktörlü bir çözümleme ile toplam varyansın %39,53'ünü açıkladığı görülmüştür. Makyavelyanizm, Narsisizm ve Psikopati şeklinde adlandırılan bu faktörlerin iç tutarlılık güvenirlik katsayıları sırasıyla 0,93, 0,90 ve 0,90 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlar, ilgili alan yazın doğrultusunda tartışılmış ve K3 Ölçeği'nin geçerlilik çalışmalarıyla desteklenmesi koşuluyla temel psikometrik gereklilikleri büyük oranda karşıladığı görülmüştür.
With the increasing interest in determining the dark, unwanted and motivating aspects of personality, it has become a popular area of research. A variety of measurement tools have been developed to evaluate these characteristics, which measure the structures independently and compositionally. Although some of these scales have been translated and adapted in Turkish, there is no dark triple scale developed in Turkish in the summer. It also appears that in particular in the summer of the Turkish area, the dark triangle is more discussed in the context of studies in the field of industrial and organizational psychology, the studies in which the relationship between clinical facts and the dark triangle is studied are limited. According to all these, a two-stage study design is planned to develop the Turkish dark triangle scale, to test the psychometric characteristics of the scale and to study the relationship of the dark triangle with clinical facts. In this study that forms the first phase, the processes of selection of the substance, determination of the factor structure and the study of the psychometric characteristics of the selected substances were carried out in order to develop the dark triple scale. This work has been done in two forms. First, a pool consisting of 221 items was created and the first application was carried out with a group of 10 experts to assess the suitability of the material pool. As a result of the application, the material pool was rearranged to contain 220 expressions. In the second application, 220 substances were applied to 529 people between the ages of 17-56. Data analysis, material analysis and factor analysis methods are repeatedly used. The analysis found that 55 substances selected and named "Dark Triple (K3) Scale" revealed 39,53% of the total variance with a three-factor resolution. The internal consistency reliability ratio of these factors, called makyavelyanism, narcissism and psychopathy, is calculated as 0.93, 0.90 and 0.90 respectively. The results obtained were discussed in the area in the summer, and the K3 scale was found to fully meet the basic psychometric requirements, provided that it was supported by validity studies.
The “dark triad” has become a popular area of research with the growing interest in identifying traits that reflect the dark, undesirable and aversive side of personality. In order to assess these properties, various measurement tools have been developed that measure constructs both as independently and as composite. Although some of these scales have been translated and adapted into Turkish, there is not available dark triad scale that developed in Turkish. In addition, especially in the Turkish literature, it is seen that the dark triad is mostly discussed in the context of studies in the field of industrial and organizational psychology, and the studies that examine the relationships between clinical cases and the dark triad are limited. In line with all these, a two-stage study design was planned in order to develop the Turkish dark triad scale, to test the psychometric properties of the scale, and to examine the relationship of the dark triad with clinical cases. In this study, which involved the first stage, the processes of item selection, determination of the factor structure, and examination of the psychometric properties of the selected items were carried out in order to develop the dark triad scale. This study includes two applications. First of all, an item pool consisting of 221 personality descriptive terms was created, and the first application was carried out with a group of 10 experts to evaluate the conformity of the item pool. As a result of the application, the item pool was revised to include 220 statements. In the second application, 529 people aged between 17-56 responded 220 items. The analysis of the data was carried out by using the item analysis and factor analysis methods repetitively. As a result of the analysis, 55 items were selected, and it was seen that the items named "Dark Triad (D3) Scale" explained 39.53% of the total variance with a three-factor structure. The internal consistency reliability coefficients of these factors, called as Machiavellianism, Narcissism, and Psychopathy, were calculated as 0.93, 0.90 and 0.90, respectively. The results obtained were discussed in line with the relevant literature, and it was seen that the D3 Scale largely met the basic psychometric requirements, provided that it was supported by validity studies.
