Abstract:

The subject of sexuality and sexual education is one of the subjects that have been emphasized more in the field of special education in recent years and that every individual needs the most. Sexuality and sexual development, which are influenced not only by biological but also by psychological and sociological processes, have become a taboo in many societies that are afraid to even talk about. As a result of this, there are a limited number of studies on sexual education in the literature. The aim of this study is to rewiev the studies on sexual education in early childhood in Turkey and in the world. The descriptive analysis method was used in the analysis of the data obtained in the systematic rewiev within the scope of the study. In the systematic rewiev, 13 different studies were reached using TUBITAK ULAKBIM, ERIC, JSTOR, SAGE PREMIER, Scince Direct, Scopus, Springer Link, Taylor & Francis, Wiley databases. Studies; Purpose, method, participant, data collection tools and findings were examined in detail. With the information obtained as a result of the examinations, information about the literature has been revealed. Finally, by presenting the current situation regarding the sexual development and education of young children, some suggestions were made for future studies.
