Abstract:

Melih Cevdet Anday, together with Orhan Veli Kanık and Oktay Rifat Horozcu, began the Strange Stream in 1941 and became one of the important poets of Turkish literature during the Republic. From the poem "Ukde" published in 1936 to the last poem book "Under the Rain" published in 1995 he has productively written his poems for about 60 years. In his first works, with the influence of the Strange Movement, he wrote his poems without worry about sleep and measurement on all kinds of topics, and later placed in his poems on social topics. The poet, especially after the 1960s, focused on mythological objects and philosophical thinking. Melih Cevdet Anday expressed his feelings and thoughts throughout his entire life, and he was benefited by nature and loved nature. The poet presents his personal feelings, thoughts, and mood, while the art does not think independently of nature, with the descriptions of nature, and identifies man and nature. The purpose of this study is to explore how Melih Cevdet Anday used the natural elements in his poems. The view of how the artist perceived nature, how he made his paintings of nature, the perspective on the human-natural relationship, the identity of nature with the feelings and thoughts, has been chronologically studied by the movement of some of the poems he wrote for 60 years.

Melih Cevdet Anday; Orhan Veli Kanık ve Oktay Rifat Horozcu ile birlikte 1941 yılında Garip akımını başlatmış ve Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk edebiyatının önemli şairlerinden biri olmuştur. 1936 yılında Varlık dergisinde yayımlanan “Ukde” şiirinden 1995’te yayımlanan son şiir kitabı “Yağmurun Altında”ya kadar yaklaşık 60 sene boyunca üretken bir şekilde şiirlerini yazmıştır. İlk eserlerinde Garip hareketi etkisiyle her türlü konuda uyak ve ölçü kaygısı olmadan şiirlerini yazmış, daha sonraysa toplumsal konulara şiirlerinde yer vermiştir. Şair, özellikle 1960’tan sonra mitolojik ögelere ve felsefi düşünceye yönelmiştir. Melih Cevdet Anday’ın tüm bu şiir hayatı boyunca duygu ve düşüncelerini ifade ederken doğadan faydalandığı ve doğayı sevdiği görülür. Şair; sanatı doğadan bağımsız düşünmezken kişisel duygularını, düşüncelerini, ruh halini doğa betimlemeleriyle sunar ve insan ile doğayı özdeşleştirir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; Melih Cevdet Anday’ın doğa unsurlarını şiirlerinde nasıl kullandığı araştırmaktır. Sanatçının doğayı nasıl algıladığı, doğa tasvirlerini nasıl yaptığı, insan-doğa ilişkisine olan bakış açısı, doğanın duygu ve düşünceleriyle olan özdeşimi 60 sene boyunca yazmış olduğu bazı şiirlerinden hareketle kronolojik olarak incelenmiştir.
