Sağlık alanında yapılan çalışmalar, insanlığa katkı sağlamak ve bireylerin yaşam kalitelerini artırmak için önemli bir çalışma alanıdır. Bu çalışma alanı yalnızca tıp sahasında değil, elektrik-elektronik, bilgisayar, yazılım vb. alanlarda da gerçekleştirilmektedir. Moda ve tekstil alanı da sağlık sektörüne önemli çalışmalarla katkı sağlamaktadır.
Günümüzde diyabet gittikçe artış gösteren kronik bir hastalıktır. Diyabete bağlı ayak problemleri ise oldukça hassas ve özen gösterilmesi gereken bir sağlık sorunudur. Dolayısıyla ayakkabı seçimi de bu gruptaki hastalar için son derece önemlidir. Bu çalışma ile diyabetik ayak problemi yaşayan hastaların ayakkabı ile ilgili tercihlerin ve problemlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri 10’u kadın, 20’si erkek toplam 30 örneklem grubuna uygulanan anket formu aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Katılımcıların bir bölümü diyabetik ayakkabıyı daha önce duymamışlardır ve buna bağlı olarak diyabetik ayakkabı kullanım oranı düşük çıkmıştır. Katılımcıların, günlük kullandıkları ayakkabılarda, olması gereken bazı önemli özelliklerin bulunmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Tercih ettikleri ayakkabılarda estetikten önce rahatlık, konfor ve ayağa uyumu ön planda tuttukları sonucu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca günlük yaşamda ayakkabı kullanmak durumunda kalsalar bile ayaklarının terlikle çok daha rahat ettiklerini belirtmiş olmaları, piyasada bulunan ayakkabıların diyabet hastalarının kullanımına çok uygun olmadığını göstermektedir.

The fashion and textile sector also contributes significantly to the health sector.
Today, diabetes is a chronic disease that is increasingly increasing. Diabetes-related foot problems are a very sensitive and careful health problem. Therefore, the choice of shoes is also extremely important for patients in this group. This study aims to identify the preferences and problems of patients with diabetes foot problems with shoes. The data of the study was obtained through the survey form applied to 10 women, 20 men and a total of 30 sampling groups. Some of the participants have never heard of diabetes shoes before, and as a result, the rate of use of diabetes shoes has been low. It has been found that the participants do not have some important features in the shoes they wear daily. In their preferred shoes, the result of aesthetics, comfort and stand-by conformity was shown to be the outcome of keeping them on the forefront. They also indicate that even if they have to wear shoes in everyday life, their feet are much more comfortable with sweat, the shoes on the market indicate that they are not very suitable for the use of diabetic patients.
