Abstract:

Various works have been written recently in order to teach Turkish to foreigners. One of these work was written by İoseb Tsilossani, who was originally Georgian scientist. The title of the book comes “Новые разговоры на Россйском, Французском, Турецком и Татарском языках с русским произношением двух последних (New Dialogues: In Russian, French, Turkish, Azerbaijani [Azeri Turkish] with Cyrillic Transcription of the Last Two Languages)”. The section “New Dialogues” is written in Russian and French in capital letters. Below them is shown in which languages the dialogues are written. In addition, the name of the book is given in Turkish with Arabic letters too. There are known two other books of scientist İoseb Lazareviç Tsilossani The Study Book of Eastern Languages and The Study Book of Muslim Alphabet. The work we examined was published in Tbilisi 1856. The lists of the book are found in the libraries around the world (Georgia, Russia, Finland). There is no work has been done on this book, which was written in four languages (Russian, French, Turkish, Azerbaijani) since past. The aim of our study is to introduce this work first and then to give information about the content and spelling features.
