Purpose: Traumatic dental injuries are one of the common problems in the world’s children’s population. The aim of this study is to evaluate the frequency of the occurrence of traumatic dental injuries in children aged 6-12 years and the factors associated with trauma. This study was conducted on 897 children (472 girls, 425 men) with an average age of 8.9±0.84, from a total of five different schools located in Nevşehir and Istanbul. The records were evaluated by dentists according to gender, age, type of trauma, the type of affected tooth, the treatment provided, the cause of the trauma and dental information (dental deficiency, supernumerer tooth, lonely closure, overjet, openbite, deepbite, croosbite) and the data of the family's parents' working status and the number of brothers were recorded socioeconomically and socioculturally. The statistical assessments were assessed at p<0.05 level of significance. The incidence of traumatic dental injuries was 3.5%. These injuries are seen as mine breaks (35.5%) and mine breaks (38.7%) The upper cutting teeth are especially the upper central cutting teeth (64.5%) that are very affected by trauma. 48.4 percent of the teeth exposed to the trauma benefited from the treatment. In 48.3% of children affected by the trauma, normal occlution, 45.1% class II, and 6.4% class III occlution. The frequency of class II maloclusion is statistically significantly higher than other maloclusions (p<0.01). This study found that girls (54.8 percent) were more likely to get to dental trauma than men (45.1 percent) (the average age was 7.93±0.85 percent). The most common type of trauma has been found to be a decrease (54.8%). Results: This study found that traumatic dental injuries occurred in children aged 6-12 years of age with a low frequency of permanent cutting teeth. Keywords: traumatic dental injuries, epidemiology, constant tooth
