Abstract:

With the Covid-19 epidemic, the media’s information and guidance functions are becoming even more important. The health sector, especially on issues such as viruses and vaccines, is an area that cannot be assessed and requires expertise, and the impact of health specialists on the community can be reached through the media is important. In this study, the news made by internet news sites with different publication policies and conditions regarding Covid-19 vaccines was studied by content analysis method. It is designed to reveal what approaches the news sites, which are constantly active, fast and able to provide a large number of news, have to do with the vaccine and whether the publication policies reflect the news content in a global health event. According to the findings obtained in the study, the news sites were not in a deal even when it comes to global health, they reflected their own publication policies in the news content. The effect of the expert opinion that increases the reliability of the news has been reduced therefore, and the effect of false information and conspiracy theories has been increased. The presence of too much and different information also affects the approach to solutions such as vaccines that will control the process and conformity to the measures taken.
