Bu çalışmanın amacı, rekreatif amaçlı farklı sportif etkinliklerine katılan 14-16 yaş arası çocukların özgüven düzeylerinin cinsiyet, gelir düzeyi, öğrenim durumu, yaşlarına göre karşılaştırılmasıdır. Veriler bilgisayar ortamında SPSS analiz programıyla yapılmış olup ikili karşılaştırmalarda bağımsız örneklem t testi, ikiden fazla karşılaştırmalarda ise Anova testi kullanılmıştır. Tüm testler için anlamlılık düzeyi α=0,05 kullanılmıştır. Katılımcıların özgüven düzeylerinin cinsiyete ve gelir düzeylerine göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşmadığı görülmektedir. Öğrenim düzeyi açısından Orta öğretim öğrencilerinin özgüven puan ortalamalarının lise öğrencilerinkinden anlamlı bir şekilde yüksek olduğu, 14 yaş düzeyindeki öğrencilerin özgüven puan ortalamasının 15 ve 16 yaş düzeyindeki öğrencilerden anlamlı derecede yüksek olduğu, spor yapan öğrencilerin özgüven puan ortalamalarının spor yapmayanlardan anlamlı düzeyde yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur.
The aim of this study is to compare the levels of self-confidence of children aged 14-16 who participate in various sports activities for recreational purposes according to gender, income level, state of learning, and age. The data was made with the SPSS analysis program in the computer environment and the independent sample t test was used in two comparisons and the Anova test was used in more than two comparisons. For all tests, the meaning level was used α=0.05. It appears that the level of self-confidence of participants does not differ significantly according to gender and income levels. In terms of learning, the average self-confidence score of high school students is significantly higher than high school students, the average self-confidence score of 14 years old students is significantly higher than the average self-confidence score of 15 and 16 years old students, the average self-confidence score of sports students is significantly higher than the average self-confidence score of non-sport students.
