Georges-Olivier Châteaureynaud, a classic, content-innovative, specialist in the various fields of fantastic species, connects in his style with real life through fantastic traces in his novels and stories. In this story, which has a formalistic structure in which tragedy and running are mixed, the narrative tells the real and fantastic life of a small child, who was under the pressure of the German soldiers under the cops, who finds a shelter in the middle of the camp, in an extraordinary way escaping from death. Although the story does not contain clear examples of the Sub-Neo-Theory, it has a fantastic structure with realist, extraordinary, supernatural, dreaming elements and local language uses with short and simple summaries. In this study, it is aimed at relying on the basic principles of the fantastic species, which is known as the age of the summer and its focus is "surnatural", and the story of Châteaureynaud, Le Verger, is developed in the framework of the practices of the study of the fantastic story. For this purpose, in the first place, Tzvetan Todorov's, as well as the theories of resolution characterized by fantastic writing, through structural criticism and reflective resolutions, the work addressed will be attempted to resolve, respectively, the writer, the work, the title of the story, the language, the fantastic structure, the narrative landscapes (taleser, person, length and time) and the main followers.

Châteaureynaud, who is classic in terms of form and innovator in terms of content and is well-versed in different fields of fantastic genre, makes connection with real life and his own style through fantastic themes in his novels and stories. In this story, with a stylistically structure that tragedy and poetry melded, the narrator reveals how a little child was crushed under the strikes with a cosh of the German soldiers in a concentration camp, where there were a vast number of detainees, and found a shelter escaping miraculously from the dead and his life between reality and fantastic. Although the story doesn‟t contain the significant motifs of the postmodern theory, it has a fantastical structure, with the realist, marvelous, supernatural, dreamy and allegorical linguistic performance by the help of the short and simple stences. In this study, conforming to the fundamental principles of the fantasy genre which is known to be coeval with literature and of which focus is the “supernatural”, it is aimed to examine the story named Le Verger written by Châteaureynaud within the framework of methods used for analysis of the fantastic story. In this context, it will be tried to analyze the author; his work; the story‟s title; its language, fantastic structure and narrative coordinates (narrator, character, space and time) and also main themes in it, respectively, by using primarily Tzvetan Todorov‟s theory of fantastic literature and thematic analysis, Gérard Genette‟s structuralist criticism.
