In Turkey from the beginning of the 1930s to the present day, the research aimed at revealing the changes that occurred in the place dedicated to primary civilizations in the high school history curricula, the "document study" method and the "content analysis" technique were used. According to the research, the two-year period between 1976 and 1978 in Turkey, with the exception of the period between 1931-1983, the topics related to Primary Civilizations took an important place in the secondary history teaching, and in the same period, the entire first class history topics consisted of Primary Civilizations. From this date, the place dedicated to the primary civilizations was reduced; from the 1991-1992 academic year, it was further reduced and limited to the Anadolu and its nearby surroundings. In this period, the pre-Asia and ancient Western civilizations were also placed in the size of their relations with only the Anatolian civilizations. This approach to primary civilizations in high school history teaching continues unchanged until today. At the end of the study, it was proposed to increase the place dedicated to primary civilizations in the history course curriculum to ensure that students properly and fully perceive the change and continuity in relation to the development stages of human history.
