Abstract:

The process of selection of suppliers is one of the most important decisions that must be made in the supply chain, since it is based on the fact of choosing the supplier with the highest capacity to meet the business needs. In the selection process, all alternative decisions that affect the business activities are assessed beyond consideration of only quantitative or qualitative criteria. In this study, the supplier selection process, which is an important circle of supply chain management, is applied to the process of the vehicle purchase of an enterprise operating in Kayseri. The method was used as a foolish EDAS (Evaluation by Medium Solution Distance). The decision criteria of the study are presented in literature and the method is used. The study’s decision criteria are based on the criteria presented in literature and discussed in the weight assessment process. The quality of the product is the most important criterion, while the best supplier is the first supplier.
