Abstract:

The subject of this study is the comparative analysis of the Republic, Universal, Hürriyet, Milat, Nationalism and the Middle East newspapers and their approaches to educational news and educational news represented as an example in the framework of the new right-wing policies. The approaches of the aforementioned newspapers to the field of education have been taken into account, especially the impact of the new right-wing policies in the field of education and media since 1980. However, the analysis was carried out through the training content published in selected newspapers as an example between 1 January and 31 December 2016. In the study, the concepts of education and communication were evaluated in the axis of the transformations that Turkey has undergone in the economic, political and social field along with the 1980s. In this context, the development of the economic political and social background of the changes that arise in the field of education, the assessment of the content characteristics of educational news and the disclosure of the approach to the educational news of the Turkish press in the special case of selected newspapers have formed the general framework of the study.
