Abstract:

The aim of this study is to adapt the scale of Parental Attitues About Rewards Scale (Parental Attitues About Rewards Scale) developed by Fabes, Fultz, Eisenberg, Plumlee and Christopher (1989) and to conduct validity and reliability studies. A total of 352 families, including 254 mothers and 98 fathers, have been applied to 3 primary schools connected to the Central District of Niğde. In the framework of the validity study of the scale, the structure validity was considered and the Opening Factor Analysis (AFA) was carried out in order to reveal evidence of the structure validity, the AFA resulted in the fact that the scale was in a three-dimensional structure. Verification Factor Analysis (DFA) has been conducted to test the conformity of the structure obtained by the AFA result. The Cronbach Alfa correlation ratio has been calculated to provide evidence of the reliability of the measurement, which provides information of substance-total correlation and internal consistency. In the DFA result (χ2/sd = 2.62, AGFI = 0.91, GFI = 0.94, RMSEA = 0.062, NFI = 0.92, NNFI, CFI and IFI = 0.95) the multi-compatibility indices were studied, the analysis resulted in the observation that the values obtained were within acceptable measurements. The adjusted scale found the Cronbach Alfa internal consistency of 0.76. The findings of the research were discussed and presented with recommendations for advanced research.
