Abstract:

This study is aimed at determining the reasons for nurses receiving a certificate program for pedagogical formation. The research in the qualification research model was carried out with 180 volunteers in the final class or graduate nurses who continue to the Pedagogical Formation Training Certificate program at the University of the Nine-May between the 2014-2019 educational and educational years. The data was collected by the researcher in the face-to-face method. Why did you want the participants to receive "Pedagogical Formation Training"? Do you explain your thoughts?” A clear question is made in the form. The results were analyzed using quality research techniques. The topics that appear at the end of the analysis are: “Do not want to do the teaching profession”, “Compliance” and “Self-development”. More participants have linked the reason for receiving pedagogical formation education to the subcategories under the subject of the desire to do the teaching profession. These subcategories are in the form of "Love the teaching profession" (n=48) "Love the nursing profession" (n=31) and the working conditions of the teaching are easier" (n=90). In our work, nurses/nurses candidates talk about the difficulties of the nursing profession. They think that the teaching profession is easier. This is why they participate in the pedagogical formation training. Participants show that they tend to change their career in the future by participating in this program. Nurses should be prevented from leaving the profession.
