Abstract:

The sports emerged as a simulation of struggle with nature takes place in the historical process as regular play activities by the people having free time with the distribution mechanisms between people. Ongoing sports evolving took different meanings related to usage areas. Sport is accepted as universal and peaceful phenomenon, bringing people together regardless of language, religion and race discrimination today. Despite the peaceful mission loaded to sport, the violent events that particularly occur in soccer field damage to the peaceful perception of sport. Sports fields are small examples of the community, when considered as areas reflecting the social problems, the solutions are also required to be handled in this regard. However, athletes, referees, sports administrators, fans, grandstand leaders, coaches, sports actors with sports competitions and matches feature, such as written and visual media members, the roles of many sports players must also be questioned.In this study handling of questioning of these roles, origins and the level of violence in the game athletes apply to each other and theories explaining the violence in sports were stated and educational, institutional, legal and long, medium and short-term solutions have been proposed for the prevention of violence in sports
