Eğitim Programları ve Öğretim Lisansüstü Eğitim Programlarının İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışmanın amacı Türkiye’de uygulanmakta olan Eğitim Programları ve Öğretim Lisansüstü programlarının incelenmesidir. Çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemine dayalı desenlenmiştir. Araştırmada ölçüt örnekleme yoluyla seçilen dokuz üniversitedeki lisansüstü programlara ilişkin belgeler, üniversitelerin internet adreslerinden elde edilmiştir. Ulaşılan belgelere dayalı olarak program çıktıları, dersleri ile derslerin amaçları ve içerikleri içerik analizi yoluyla incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre program çıktıları genel olarak sayı ve temel konu alanlarını kapsaması açısından üniversitelere göre önemli farklılıklar göstermektedir. Her iki program düzeyinde de temel alan derslerinin ağırlıkta olduğu ve ders çeşitliliğinin bulunduğu söylenebilir. Ancak dersler ile derslerin amaç ve içeriklerinin program çıktıları ile uyumlu olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Amaçların dağılımına bakıldığında her iki programda da ağırlık sırasıyla araştırma becerileri, öğrenme-öğretme süreci ve program geliştirme konularındadır. Programlarda kuramsal yapının güçlü olduğu ancak kuram ve uygulama arasında denge kurulamadığı görülmektedir. Araştırma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak programların işleyişi ve alanın gelişimi açısından eğitim programları ve öğretim lisansüstü programların belirli standartları karşılayacak düzeye getirilmesi önemli görülmektedir.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the Curriculum and Instruction Graduate programs (CIGP) in Turkey. The study was designed qualitatively. Documents related to graduate programs in nine universities selected through criterion sampling were obtained from the universities' websites. The results, objectives and contents were compared and the current situation was examined. The results revealed that the program outcomes show important differences in universities in terms of number and basic subject areas in general. Based on both program levels, it can be said that the courses are mainly field-based and there is a variety of courses. However, it was found that the objectives and contents of the courses and courses themselves were not compatible with the program outcomes. Considering the objectives, the weight in both programs is on research skills, learning-teaching process and program development. It is seen that the theoretical structure is given strongly based on the scope of objectives and contents, but no balance between theory and practice was found. It is suggested to bring the CIGP to meet certain standards, and to take measures to improve the quality of education in terms of the functioning of the programs and the development of the field.
