Abstract:

İn the research, applying the formations which use the discovery learning strategy as base, in the basic art education is also important and after this practise, it is also importatn for it revels the advantages and new suggestions of the new findings. Bruner’s philosophy of making the teacher a guide and the student an active participant, is important for basic art education. The working group of the research is composed of first grade students of A and B group at Akdeniz University Faculty of Fine Arts Fashion and Textile Design Department in 2018-2019 academic year spring term. By drawing a number, it is decided that one of the groups is experimantal group and the other is control group. So a 34 student working group is formed; seventeen for the experimantal group and seventeen for the control group. The research pattern is pretest posttest control grouped experimental design. In the research, the attitude scale is developed by the researcher. The attitude scale is formed according to the development process and item writing principles and the items’ having cognitive, affective and behavioural elements is paid attention and the equal distribution of positive and negative items in the scale is considered important. At the beginning of the research, the attitude scale are applied to both of the groups as pretests, after the eight- week working the posttest is applied. In the experimental and control groups, on the basis of the data from the attitude scale, the distrubiton fulfills the normality hypothesis and based on this reason, “t” test techniques are used for dependent groups or independent groups of the parametric tests. The results of the analyses were tabulated and interpreted. After the research, when the attitudes are used as base, there is not a meaningful difference between the attitudes of experimental and control groups.
