Kaynağını Kur’an ve sünnetten alan vakıf, Hz. Peygamberden itibaren Müslümanların adeta birbiriyle yarıştıkları bir hizmet alanı olmuştur. Hayır, hasenat, şefkat, merhamet, yardımlaşma gibi değerler ve duygularla yaşayan vakıflar, yüzyıllarca bir hayır müessesesi olarak toplum hayatında sosyal, ekonomik, dini, ilmi sahalarda önemli hizmetler görmüşlerdir. Osmanlı dönemi devlet ricalinden Kara Davud Paşa da Üsküdar’da bir vakıf eseri olarak yaptırdığı, Camii ve imarethanesiyle ismini ebedileştirmiştir. Ancak kendi adıyla anılan Camii halen ayakta ise de imârethane kısmı mevcut değildir. Bu çalışmada vakfiyesi ve arşiv belgeleri ışığında Kara Davud Paşa Camii Vakfı'nın kuruluşu, idaresi, gayr-i menkulleri ve gelirleri ele alınmaktadır.
The source of the Qur’an and the Sunnah, Hz. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was the Muslims who had been the Muslims. Foundations living with values and emotions such as no, harshness, compassion, mercy, help have seen important services in the social, economic, religious, scientific fields in the life of society for centuries as a good institution. From the Ottoman state rical Kara David Pasha also made as a foundation work in Üsküdar, Camii and his imarethaned his name forever. But the name of the Camii is still standing, and the imârethane is not present. In this study, in light of the foundation and archive documents, the organization, administration, non-profit and income of Kara David Paşa Camii Foundation are discussed.
