Bu çalışmada Harran Üniversitesi Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin eleştirel düşünmeye yönelik tutumlarının çeşitli değişkenlere göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Harran Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda öğrenim gören 545 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme tutumlarının belirlenmesinde Yılmaz-Özelçi (2012) tarafından geliştirilen “Eleştirel Düşünme Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS programından yararlanarak frekans analizi, Mann Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis H testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Meslek Yüksekokulu öğrencilerinin eleştirel düşünmeye yönelik tutumlarının orta düzeyde olduğu bulunmuştur. Demografik değişkenlere göre ele alındığı zaman öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme tutumlarının eğitim kademesi, eğitim gördüğü bölüm, okuduğu kitap sıklığı değişkenleri açısından değerlendirildiğinde anlamlı bir fark bulunduğu; yaş, cinsiyet, doğmuş olduğu yer, anne eğitim durumu, baba eğitim durumu ve algılanan ekonomik durum değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği tespit edilmiştir.
This study aims to study the attitudes of students of Harran University's Professional High School to critical thinking according to a variety of variables. The research study group consists of 545 students studying at Harran University's Social Sciences Professional High School. The critical thinking attitude scale was developed by Yılmaz-Special (2012) to determine critical thinking attitudes of students. In the analysis of the obtained data, the SPSS program used frequency analysis, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H test. The research has found that the attitudes of high school students towards critical thinking are at a medium level. When addressed by demographic variables, the critical thinking attitudes of students were found to have a significant difference when assessed in terms of the educational stage, the section in which they were educated, the frequency of the book they were reading; age, gender, place of birth, mother education status, father education status, and the economic status perceived variables.
