Geçmişten günümüze kadar insanlar işitme, görme, bedensel, zihinsel gibi çok farklı engele maruz kaldıkları gibi farklı engellerle de karşılaşmıştır. Bu araştırma da Van İşitme Engelliler Derneğinin temel sorun ve beklentilerinin neler olduğunu ortaya çıkarma amacını taşımaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi Van il merkezinde işitme engellilere yönelik hizmet veren işitme engelliler derneğinin yöneticilerinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada, nitel veri toplama araçlarından yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılmış ve katılımcılar ile yüz yüze görüşme sonucu araştırma verileri elde edilmiştir. Katılımcılardan elde edilen veriler betimsel analize tabi tutularak sunulmuştur. Araştırmada, Van İşitme Engelliler Derneğinin maddi olarak ayakta kalma mücadelesi verdiği, Van’daki işitme engelli bireylerin eğitim, sağlık, iş ve toplumsal yaşamlarında toplumun diğer fertleriyle iletişim kurmakta önemli oranda sorun yaşadıkları, bu bireylerin işaret dilini bilmeyen sosyal çevresindeki bireylerin olumsuz bakış, tutum ve davranışlarına maruz kaldıkları, mevcut sorunların çözümünde toplum ve resmi kurumlarda yeteri kadar destek almadıkları yönünde bir dizi bulgu ve sonuca ulaşılmıştır.
From the past to today, people have also faced different obstacles, such as hearing, vision, physical and mental obstacles. This research also aims to reveal what the main problems and expectations of the Van Hearing Disabled Association are. The example of the study consists of the managers of the hearing disabled association that serves to hearing disabled people in the Van province center. In the study, the semi-configured conversation technique was used from the quality data collection tools and the research data was obtained as a result of face-to-face conversations with the participants. The data obtained from the participants was submitted under visual analysis. The study found a series of findings and findings that the Van Hearing Disabilities Association has a material struggle to stand up, that hearing disabilities in Van have significant problems in communicating with other members of society in their educational, health, business and social lives, that these individuals are exposed to negative views, attitudes and behaviors of individuals in the social environment that do not know the sign language, that they do not receive sufficient support in the society and official institutions in solving current problems.
From the past to the present, people have been exposed to many different obstacles such as hearing, sight, physical and mental. This study aims to reveal what are the main problems and expectations of the Association for the Deaf. The sample of the study consists of the managers or members of the hearing impaired association, which provides services for the hearing impaired in the city of Van. In the study, the semi-structured interview technique was used from qualitative data collection tools and research data were obtained as a result of face-to-face interviews with the participants. The data obtained from the participants were presented in descriptive analysis. In the study, it is observed that Van Hearing Impaired Association struggles to survive financially and that the hearing impaired individuals in Van have significant problems in communicating with other members of society in education, health, work, and social lives; A number of findings and conclusions have been reached that they are exposed to their behavior and that they do not receive enough support from the community and government agencies to solve the existing problems.
