The aim of the study is to study the impact of training on motor skills on children who attend summer sports schools. A total of 117 children (volleyball=28, tennis=7, basketball=23, football=59) participated voluntarily. The motor skills of the children participating in the study are determined by the Deutscher Motor Test (DMT). The measurements were made twice, in the beginning of summer sports schools and after 12 weeks of training. In determining the difference between the pre-test and the final test of children’s motor skills, the Paired t test used a percentage of frequency analysis in the classification of children’s motor skills. The statistical analysis found that the DMT20m sprint, DMTyana jumping, DMFlexibility, DMT stoping long jumping, DMTmechanic, DMTdenge and DMTfine values increased significantly in the last test. Also, although there is no statistically meaningful difference in the DMT6dk running test, the last test values have been found to be better. According to the classification of children’s motor skills, the pre-test included 66 children in the very low and low category, while the last test this number fell to 19. In the good and very good category, 7 children were found in the first test, while in the last test this number rose to 32. As a result, it can be said that sports activities increase children’s motor skills levels. It is also recommended that participation in sports activities for the development of motor skills is not limited only to summer sports schools, that children make sports a standard of life and ensure continuity in participation in sports.
