Spor Yöneticiliği Bölümünde Okuyan Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Öz-Farkındalık Düzeyleri

Abstract:

Bu çalışmada spor yöneticiliği bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerin öz-farkındalık düzeylerini çeşitli değişkenler açısından tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma betimsel nitelikte tarama modelinde desenlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılında Manisa Celal Bayar Üniversitesi Spor Bilimleri Fakültesi Spor Yöneticiliği Bölümünde öğrenim gören ve çalışmaya gönüllü olarak katılan 361 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri; araştırmacılar tarafından oluşturulan “Kişisel Bilgi Formu”, Condon (2011) tarafından geliştirilen, Esentaş ve ark., (2018) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan “Öz-Farkındalık Ölçeği (ÖFÖ)” ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin istatistiksel değerlendirilmesinde betimsel istatistik testlerinin yanı sıra bağımsız gruplar t-testi, korelasyon analizi, tek yönlü varyans analizi ve post-hoc test tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Analiz öncesi tüm veriler üzerinde Kolmogorov Smirnov testi ile normallik sınaması yapılmış, test sonucunda (z=1,107; p=0,17>0,05) verilerin normal dağılım gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, öz-farkındalık beceri düzeyinin yükseltilmesi üniversite eğitiminin bir parçası olarak görülmesi ve spor yöneticiliği bölüm öğrencilerinin öncelikle birey olarak ve sonrasında birer yönetici adayı olarak bu eğitim etkinliklerin içinde olmaları önerilmektedir.

The level of self-consciousness of university students studying in the Department of Sports Management

Abstract:

This study aims to identify the levels of self-consciousness of students studying in the Department of Sports Management in terms of various variables. The research has been drawn up in a visual scan model. The study group consists of 361 students who study in the Sports Management Department of the Manisa Celal Bayar University School of Sports Sciences in the 2019-2020 educational year and participate voluntarily in the study. The data of the research was collected with the "Personal Information Form" created by researchers, developed by Condon (2011) and adapted by Esentaş et al., (2018) to Turkish "Self-Science Scale (ÖFÖ)" In the statistical assessment of data, the visual statistical tests, as well as the independent group t-test, correlation analysis, one-way variance analysis and post-hoc test techniques have been used. On all pre-analysis data, the normality test was conducted with the Kolmogorov Smirnov test, and the test resulted (z=1,107; p=0,17>0,05) that the data showed normal distribution. As a result, it is recommended that the elevation of the level of self-consciousness skills be seen as part of university education and that the students of the sports management department should be involved in these educational activities first as individuals and then as an executive candidate.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the self-awareness levels of students studying in the department of sport management in terms of various variables. The study was designed in descriptive survey model. The study group consisted of 361 students who were studying in the Department of Sport Management, Faculty of Sport Sciences at Manisa Celal Bayar University and volunteered to participate in the study. The data of the study were collected through the “Personal Information Form" prepared by the researchers and the "Self - Awareness Scale" which was developed by Condon (2011) and adapted to Turkish by Esentaş et al. (2018). In addition, descriptive statistics tests, independent samples t-test, correlation analysis, one-way variance analysis and post-hoc test techniques were used for the statistical evaluation of the data. Before the analysis, all the data were tested for normality through the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, and the data were determined to distribute normally in the test result (z = 1.107; p = 0.17> 0.05). As a result, it is recommended that improving the self-awareness skill level should be seen as a part of university education, and students of the department of sport management should be involved in these educational activities primarily as individuals and then as executive candidates.
