Abstract:

Ö Z E T Bu araştırmada, ilköğretim ikinci kademe sosyal bilgiler ders kitaplarında (metingörsel) yer alan harita becerilerine yer verilme düzeyi tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırma tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada örneklem olarak 6 ve 7. sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitapları incelenmiştir. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi yapılarak betimsel istatistikten yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, altıncı sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabı metinlerinde %30 oran ile konum ve koordinat belirleme becerisi en fazla yer alan beceri iken, sembolleri anlama ve yorumlama becerisi %5 oran ile en az yer alan beceridir. Yedinci sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabı metinlerinde %37 oran ile ile harita okuma ve yorumlama becerisi en fazla yer alan beceri, sembolleri anlama ve yorumlama becerisi ile ölçek kullanma becerisi ise %10 oran ile en az yer alan beceriler olarak belirlenmiştir. İlköğretim altıncı sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabının görsellerinde %37 oran ile konum ve koordinat belirleme becerisi en fazla yer alan beceri, uzaklık ölçme becerisi ise %1’lik oran ile kitaptaki görsellerde en az yer alan beceri olmuştur. İlköğretim yedinci sınıf sosyal bilgiler ders kitabının görsellerinde ise %34 oran ile harita okuma ve yorumlama becerisi ilk sırada yer alırken, uzaklık ölçme becerisinin görsellerde hiç yer almadığı belirlenmiştir. The research has been carried out on screening model. In the research, 6th and 7th grade social sciences course books have been analyzed as samples. For data analysis, descriptive statistics has been benefited performing content analysis. According to the research results, whereas position and coordination determining skill has been the one that takes the most place with 30% rate in 6th grade social sciences course book, the skill of understanding and interpreting the symbols takes the least place with 5% rate. There has been determined that whereas position and coordination determining skill has been the one that takes the most place with 37% rate in 7th grade social sciences course book, the skills of understanding and interpreting the symbols and using scale takes the least place with 10% rate. Whereas position and coordination determining skill has been the one that takes the most place in the images of elementary education sixth grade social sciences course book with 37% rate, the skill of distance measuring is the one that takes the least ppace with 1% rate. There has been determined that whereas the skill of map reading and interpreting takes place on the top with 34% rate on images of the elementary education seventh grade social sciences course book, distance measuring skill has no place on images.
