Abstract:

Resistance behaviors are the negative types of movements showed by students that negatively affect the school environment. This study examined the perceptions of high school teachers about the resistance behavior of students in their schools. The study, which was a visual study on the scan model, involved 510 teachers. In the collection of data, the Student Resistance Behavior Scale was used. The data was analyzed using the SPSS 25 package program. Non-parametric tests were used because the data did not show normal distribution as a result of the analysis. In the analysis of the data with visual statistics, Mann Whitney-U test, Kruskal Wallis-H test was used. As a result, according to the perceptions of teachers, the frequency of encounter with student resistance behaviors is not different according to the branch and the type of school graduated. Although the frequency of encounter with resistance behaviors does not make significant differences from the teacher’s gender, it has been determined that male teachers have higher average levels in all dimensions, therefore they are more frequently encountered with resistance behaviors.
