Çalışmaya 178'i kadın 85'i erkek olmak üzere toplam 263 öğrenci katılmıştır.
Purpose - The main purpose of this study is to reveal the perceptions that students who are studying in the Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, Banking and Insurance program and who have graduated from this program have towards the concepts of "banks, credit, insurance and risk" through metaphors. Method - The study used the factual science (fenomenology) model from the quality research methods. The research was carried out with the participation of persons who are still a student in the Sakarya University of Applied Sciences, Banking and Insurance program and who have previously graduated from this program. The study included a total of 178 students, including 85 women and 263 men. The obtained data is resolved by content and visual analysis techniques. Results - The study resulted in the study that students participated in the study identified 127 different metaphors for the concept of "banks", 132 for the concept of "credit", 112 for the concept of "risk", 74 for the concept of "assurance". As a result, the emerging metaphors are divided into categories and evaluated. Debate - The concept of bank is defined as the most repeated metaphors for the concept of bank, the concept of credit, the concept of risk, the concept of life and the concept of insurance. The metaphors produced by participants regarding the concepts of risk and insurance can be evaluated positively. On the other hand, 15.6 percent of participants used metaphors saying that the bank is a system that exploits people. It is remarkable that the loan has been negatively assessed at a total of 47.5 percent as a source of trouble and debt gap. From this point of view, it is believed that it may be useful for some of the participants to consider why and for what reasons they see the banks as a system that exploits people and that the credit is also considered a source of trouble in a separate study.
