The purpose of this research is to explore the metaphors of science and technology teachers candidates related to the science laboratory. For this purpose, the metaphors related to the science laboratory of the science and technology teachers candidates were analyzed by the metaphor analysis method. In this study, which is designed according to the fact science (fenomenology) pattern of quality research methods, content analysis methods have been used in the analysis of data. (Patton, 1990; Lightning and Lightning, 2005). The participants of the study are formed by teachers candidates (n=72) who are studying in the 3rd grade of the Main Science Department of Science Teaching. A total of 51 metaphors were produced by the participants and these metaphors were divided into nine categories. In most categories, participants produced a positive metafor (91%) in relation to the science laboratory. In the data obtained by the participants, a lot of "catering" metaphors (n=17) were used. When we evaluate according to categories, men categorize the science laboratory according to its function (36%) while girls categorize it as an environment for discovery and production of new products (21%).
